Scope of Service Experience
Patrick Egan began his real estate career in 1972 as an apprentice with the local real estate appraisal firm, Max J. Derbes, Inc. In 1974, he joined Robert W. Merrick in establishing the appraisal and brokerage firm of Robert W. Merrick, Inc. Following the acquisition by Robert W. Merrick, Inc. of LATTER & BLUM, Inc./Realtors, Patrick, a partner in the new firm, was named Director of Appraisal and Counseling Division of LATTER & BLUM and appointed Executive Vice President.
Under his tenure, the appraisal division has been responsible for undertaking some of the larger profile assignments in the metropolitan area. Major assignments include Place St. Charles, Lakeway Complex in Metairie, Canal Place, LL&E Tower in New Orleans and extensive private portfolios throughout the region. Patrick has been involved in hundreds of hotel counseling and appraisal assignments throughout the United States. Local projects include the majority of the principal CBD and French Quarter properties, including the Hilton and the Sheraton. He has been published on hospitality related issues.
Background & Experience
As a member of the Counselors of Real Estate, Patrick has provided real estate advice in 35 states and 13 countries. Assignments have ranged from analysis of a portfolio of 12 manufacturing plants to corporate headquarter facilities with 2.5 million square feet. Abroad, Patrick has provided counseling services on an office building portfolio in London, Vienna, Paris and Lisbon, as well as performing office market and feasibility studies in Vienna, Hamburg, Germany and Aberdeen, Scotland. He has also undertaken consulting assignments in the South American cities of Lima, Peru, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Santiago, Chile, Quito, Ecuador, Puerto Cortes, Honduras, Vina del Mar, Chile, Guayaquil, Ecuador and Caracas.
